I have currently got Status with Turkish at *G level.
In the 9 months Dec2025 – July (June to be safe?) 2025 I need to get 15000 status miles to extend for another year. It’s not yet clear whether this is worthwhile, probably not when its about our flights to USA but as YT content its probably very useful. It would likely tie Anth and me to Turkish – she could get a status match too although probably that kicks in too late for my extension. It’d be ideal if hers started in July 2026 so we’d be able to do a trip together to extend our status again in the following year. – But I don’t think we will be doing that much fully paid travel as we have a whole bunch of miles to burn in 2026-2027 with AFKL and VS. As an aside I have some Delta credit in USA so maybe I can kludge something together with that. I have about £400 of Delta credit to use by June 2026 I believe. Or will have the flight isn’t yet cancelled as I’m hoping it will get a change and be fully refunded by next March
So heres the link on Matt’s Planet You tube with some info about the Turkish Status Match. It puts it clearly , though some now looks outdated as I know the initial match actually needs a TK flight.

Should I do a run to extend a second Year?
Heres how my Turkish account looks right now in Nov 2025
I’ll probably make a video mapping out how to do this as I found Matt’s videos interesting. Even if he’s just a young lad 😉 If you’d like to see this then drop me a comment below and I’ll probably do it
Now I had to make a spreadsheet to look further

Unfortunately a long thread on Flyer Talk has thrown into question the current content of the spreadsheet.
Turkish airlines have a simple way of looking at the miles given when you book a flight. Unfortunately its wrong!
Look in the comments to find out how to do it right.
Just done a quick calculation. Flying to IST from BHX in J is typically £705 and yields 2453 Status miles. So about 3.48 miles/£ or £0.287 £/mile
So this would give a requalification cost somewhere near £4200 – Far too much! If I can do it under £1000 I am in though
Ive been on FlyerTalk and asking questions about this TK elite renewal thing. It looks like the miles shown when you book cannot be relied upon. Sometimes they are close/OK but other times they are way out.
https://www.owenrudge.net/utils/starcalc/?numrows=3&p=TK&from1=ARN&to1=IST&airline1=TK&class1=K&from2=IST&to2=GRU&airline2=TK&class2=K&from3=GRU&to3=SCL&airline3=TK&class3=K&level=Classic
That site however does calculate the miles based on distance and a class multiplier and a status multiplier. Why TK can apply it themselves is a mystery. Thogh for single segments they have this. So you can look individually and total them up
