Until about 3 weeks ago I was tracking all my flight status and XP through scraps of paper and some notes in a notebook. I didn’t *really* understand how efficient my Flying Blue status qualification was or how Id benefit from it. Then while I was searching something about the nuances of qualification I got a search hit and found this site – Skystatus .
When you first land on the main page there are options to enter data which can actually end up including your whole flying Blue flight record – flights you used to qualify AND your Redemptions.
You XP running total and mileage balance are calculated automatically – it took me a while to get it right but Remco de Graaf , the site creator gave me a ton of help and is currently improving all the time and squashing bugs often almost in real-time. So if you are thinking of Flying Blue as a potential home take a look there.
In addition to the tracking abilities there is an absolute goldmine of information to generally help answer any of your Flying Blue questions. Oh did I mention it’s all free and he has no plans to monetise it in any way. So go take a look I promise that if you care about FB status XP and Mileage for redemption flights you will love it. Above for example is a scenario Planner I added some numbers for a redemption flight plus SAF vs a paid flight without SAF. And it turns out both are a bit costly (I aim at £8.71/XP as my usual maximum as thats the SAF cost alone) but clearly option A the redemption flight is better value regarding XP gained. Let me know if you can see the flaw in how I entered the numbers – there is one!
The Flight Ledger is great for keeping track of all your flights and keeping track of your ongoing costs

Incidentally this bit of information took me a lot of digging in forums before I understood it. Its so clear here.
My recommendation is get over there – read the help and FAQ stuff to get a proper idea of what it can do then grab your statement pdf file from the Flying Blue website and let it do its stuff.
